After university she  launched her media company, Blackdove Communications, a modelling agency and occasions management attire. She also began a magazine publication called, FM & B .

She later focused on her blogging as merely what she enjoyed but today, Linda Ikeji’s blog site is now one of the most popular blogs in the continent. The blog has become a meeting point for Nigerians all over the world as well a port of call to a majority of Africans online. On how one can turn something as unconventional as blogging into a multi-million Naira company, Linda said “You have to enjoy blogging. You can’t say I desire to blog because I want to earn money.”

Linda Ikeji may have begun blogging as a hobby but now her blog site creates millions of Naira each year from ads run by companies, hence it has become a business more lucrative than she ever envisaged.

She wrote her first book : “It Takes You” a few years back to share her life story and encourage young people.

Linda’s powerful influence in the online community has given voice to many. For instance , the case of Blessing Effiong, a girl who was unlawfully imprisoned 4 years without a trial,  got her freedom, and she had people like  Linda Ikeji to be thankful to.

Linda’s blog was shut down on October 8, 2014 though, but restored on 10 October 2014 around midnight by Google for undisclosed reasons. Many had thought, it would be the end of the dream but guess who came bouncing back, got wiser, earning bigger, working better…Linda.

To some she may be seen as a queen of controversy, to some a shrewd business woman who scaled the odds to become lady-boss.

To us, she is simply lovable diva!

In her words she speaks to aspiring young diva potentials out there: ” So maybe I’m not a role model in terms of what I do, but I know I’m definitely a role model as a young woman. To all the young girls out there, if you’re reading this, you can make it on your own. You don’t need to spread your legs for men, you don’t need these old married men who just take your glory. You’re strong, you’re beautiful, there’s nothing you can’t achieve on your own. God has given you something no one else has. Find what it is and build yourself. Don’t worry about what other girls around you have. Dignity is far more valuable than a range rover. Make it in life on your own terms and as your own woman, so that you can look back one day and be proud of who you were and who you are.”
