WizKid becomes the youngest winner of MOBO Awards Best African Act category beating the likes of Cheikh Lo, D’Banj, Fatoumata Diawara, Liquideep, Owiny Sigoma Band, Seun Kuti, Smod, Spoek Mathambo and Viewux Farka Toure.

The 21-year-old who burst into the Nigeria music scene two years ago with “Holla at Yo Boy” has garnered much success in just two years both home and abroad. Here at FAB we are huge fans of the star who not only posed for us for our premier Music Issue but came back a year after for a new photo shoot and fresh interview. In our latest Power Issue, Wiz is once again mentioned as one of “Nigeria’s Top 30 under 30”

Next up on Weezy’s road map is MTV Europe Music Awards to be held in Belfast on 6 November where he will be up against the likes of Fally Ipupa, Cabo Snoop, Abdelfattah Grini and Coffee & Scribe for the Best Worldwide Act.

Congratulations, Wiz, on your MOBO success and best of luck for the EMAs!
