After a 19 year wait, the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Stallions of Burkina Faso, 1-0 to lift the 2013 Africa Nation Cup.

The lone goal of the match which ensured that the Nigerians came out tops was scored by Sunday Mbah in the 40th minute of the pulsating encounter.

The Nigerians looked more purposeful, displaying dexterity and  better tactical play ,but missed plethora of scoring chances.

However, the Berkinabes were no pushover as they also matched the pace of the soaring Eagles, through  deft moves from the feet of Aristide Bance and Pitroipa.

With the victory Nigeria has now won the Nations Cup thrice, with victories already recorded in 1980 and 1994.
