Drama, Action, Innovation, Creaticity, never-been-seen, panache, value, creativity, all things fashion forward is what was expected of the London trained Taiwo and Kehinde Okunoren for their show and the duo didn’t fall short with delivering the strongest collection “The Global African” with loads of entertainment value. Inspired by Europe and its rich heritage, they put on a fantastic show that was introduced by a a cross between Greek and African goddesses who opened the show, a rastafarai in a wheel chair being pushed by an Asian Monk and of course the climax of the show;
a baby boy being pushed on a silver bicycle by a male model and well engineered pieces.
If you’re familiar with the Okunoren Twins as a people and as the brand you’ll know they are one of a few labels sphere heading the bespoke revolution more so in menswear in Nigeria. The twins super impressive presence at the Arise Magazine Fashion Week wasn’t at all a surprise, ideally with this platform the brand will emerge to take its rightful place within the fashion scene on the Nigerian if not African map. This was really save the best for the last.
