Fashion week is in full steam, the days are becoming long and after parties are becoming the source of relaxation as well as nourishment. however, the clothes are those little burst of energy that keeps us going.
We stop at Korto Momolu’s show to marvel at her gorgeous creation for spring summer.
The Liberian project Runway alumni drew inspiration from the Japaneses Culture, especially from samurais and geishas. This Influences are clearly visible in the appearance of her runway looks, with with a plunging v-neckline, to be gathered at the waist with thin belts. This is to give the idea of geisha dresses of the same nature held together by obi belts.
I especially love the Transition to African print she showed for her final pieces. Being very on trend with the long effortless silhouette we are seeing on the runway this season.
Korto has definitely come a long way from pulling her weight on project runway to staging a show at new York fashion week every season. we, at FAB magazine love this new collection and we cant honeslty wait to see what she thinks up next!
