The music video for the Charli XCX, Ty Dolla $ign and Tinashe collaboration ‘Drop That Kitty’, is finally here and it’s a little different from what we expected.
In the video, Tinashe and Charli XCX show us how they get down, with Wiz Khalifa and Keke Palmer also making an appearance. There’s even animated cat faces thrown in for good measure.
The video features Charli starting off the track while standing in front of a grocery store. Flanked on either side of her are two dancers with giant cat faces super-imposed over their human heads. Clearly a nod to the title and hook of the track.
The in comes Tinashe, who kills it onscreen, you almost don’t notice the weird cat-heads in the background. Meanwhile, Ty Dolla $ign rides around in a convertible for part of the video, and Wiz Khalifa, Keke Palmer, O.T. Genasis and DJ Mustard all make cameos in the visual — so be sure to keep an eye out for those guys. It’s a fun video for the track.
‘Drop That Kitty’ is the latest offering from Ty Dolla $ign’s debut album, Free T.C., which will be out later this year via Taylor Gang/Atlantic Records.
The trio recently performed ‘Drop That Kitty’ together at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
