Reigning Queen of Soul, Mary J Blige has revealed that she was molested as a child when she was only five years old, in a documentary chronicling the intriguing story of her equally as intriguing life.
The Take Me As I Am star, declared in the VH1: Behind the Music programme that the incident had followed her right into her adult years.

In the interview, Ms Blige also spoke of her battle with alcohol addiction, claiming that it was her husband Martin Kendu Isaacs who helped set her on the path to recovery.
Speaking of sobering up for her husband she said: “He doesn’t deserve for me to be some, you know, slum-bucket alcoholic, and so I took responsibility and I cleaned up, as much as I could.
“I stopped drinking. It was will power. It was prayer. It was really hard,” she said.
The programme also sees contributions from Diddy, Nas and Mary’s sister LaTonya Blige Dacosta to name but a few.
