Rihanna rose to international prominence and became a household name with the release of her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad in 2007, and its chart-topping lead single ‘Umbrella’. The song which featured Jay Z earned her many awards and nominations. In 2007, the song won two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, when it was nominated for four. ‘Don’t matter’ is a reggae fusion–R&B song recorded by Akon for his second studio album. The song was released in the United States in mid-January 2007. In April 2007, it became Akon’s first solo U.S. number-one single.  This song was number 31 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007  The song made its debut at number seventy-nine on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number one in January 2008. ‘Don’t matter’ has been certified 3 times platinum for 3,000,000 digital sales.

*Beyonce- Irreplaceable

This song was off Beyonce’s second album B’Day in 2006. The song was released through Columbian records in the United States on December 5, 2006 and it was well received by music lovers and critics around the world.The song won awards including Best R&B/Soul Single at the 2007 Soul Train Music Award. It became Beyoncé’s fourth number-one in the US, and remained at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for ten consecutive weeks. “Irreplaceable” was the best-selling US single of 2007, in fact it was commercially successful worldwide. It has 104,664,046 views as of date.
