London’s glitterati were out in their droves at Camden Roundhouse last night for a night of entertainment and goodwill at the 2011 Keep A Child Alive Black Ball.
The co-founder of the the organisation which aims to “provide treatment, love and support to families affected by HIV/AIDS” in Africa and India and the co-host for the evening alongside Mark Ronson, Alicia Keys rocked the red carpet with hubby Swizz Beatz. Only eight months after giving birth, the 30-year-old songstress showed to signs of baby weight in a black strapless Givenchy number and perfectly colour-coordinated with Swizz who donned a black tux.
Other celebs we spotted on the red carpet were Naija’s finest Darey repping in style, Tinie Tempah (sans geek chic frames but with the appendage of facial hair – jury’s still out though, Tinie!) looking dapper in black, our Cool Issue cover boy Loick Essien looking mighty fine, R&B crooner Lemar in all black everything paired with grungey Chucks, Jay Sean jazzing up his tux with a pair of stonewashed jeans, Paloma Faith in glittering gold, Shingai Shoniwa taking colour-blocking to new heights in an electric blue ensemble paired with a gold head wrap, Naomi Harris in fashion-forward lace shorts and sheer blouse and the comedian extra-ordinaire, Eddie Kadi who rocked a velvet blazer and patterned tie.
Check out the red carpet arrivals and meet us here later today for the full gist from Juliana.
