As it is no news that the former Disney star Selena Gomez checked into rehab in January for two weeks to ‘spend time on herself’.  Selena’s sudden deed was misconstrued by many suggesting that her break up with ex boyfriend Justin Bieber had resulted to her poor sense of judgement by seeking rehab support. In other words, it was an unnecessary move.

The ‘Come And Get It’ has now given us a form of exposé as to why she checked into rehab explaining that she has been under a lot of pressure since she kick started her acting career at the tender age of ten.

‘I’m surrounded by people who are supposed to guide me and some of them have and others haven’t,’ she said. ‘They pressure me: “You gotta be sexy, you gotta be cute, you gotta be nice, you gotta be all these things.” Selena revealed to the cheering kids at the first annual We Day California event at the Oracle Arena in Oakland on Wednesday.

‘I’m sure all of you have been told that you don’t have what it takes and that you may not be good enough… when deep down, it’s all you want to do, you want to be part of something great, you want to make something great…It crushes you when people try to tell you that you’re not good enough.”

She Motivated the crowd not to get discouraged by what others say they can’t achieve adding that her mother who gave birth to her when she was 16 years old has always encouraged her to live her dream.

‘We Day’ annual concert is organized by the ‘Free The Children’ charity which motivates young people to take action on local and global issues.
