Yesterday we brought you 3 video remakes from African countries of American hip-hop artist and producer, Pharell William’s massive hit single “Happy”. Joining the growing list is Cape Town, populous city in South Africa.
The video, directed by Shamiel Soni & Tannan Woods and produced by Nicki Priem, follows the trend of all remakes of “Happy” and features ecstatic South Africans dancing, laughing, singing and more positive things. The video has already received almost 200,000 hits on YouTube after only 3 days of being uploaded.
The Cape Town version includes people dancing in various locations all over Cape Town, both well-known as well as areas on the Cape flats, and a township. The video will definitely make you fall in love with Cape Town as well as make you wish for more sights.
Luckily we are getting quite a fill of our share of beautiful South African scenery and facts as the #BloggingSA14 week is going on. Six senior bloggers from the US, UK and China are currently in South Africa for a week-long tour to witness the dynamic innovation driving the South African economy and FAB Magazine’s very own editor, Sinem Bilen-Onabanjo is a part of the selected six.
From Johannesburg to Cape Town we have been awed by some of the breath-taking views of South Africa through the innovative media tour that is the #BloggingSA14 platform. Read up on FAB Magazine’s editor’s experience so far Here. You can follow her journey on Twitter using #BloggingSA14.by
