While Team FAB witnessed the spectacular Spring/Summer 2012 shows at this month’s London Fashion Week, our attention was also caught by the stylish showstoppers around Somerset House. Here’s some more FAB fashionistas we spied through our lense…
This guy’s beetle crusher-esque shoes and tartan accents make for punk-preppy perfection; the buttoned up collar adds a mod feel, but is countered by the showing rolled cuffs and untucked shirt tails. Understated awesomeness.
Here, a pair of young men tackled low-key skater style with rolled down socks, rolled up trouser legs and Nikes, layering t-shirts with shirts and donning hats; something of an American teen ensemble. Backpacks were worn too, though the main choice of accessory for these guys were Doc Martins, slung around necks via tied shoelaces… Interesting.
This third member of the group of skater-chic clad guys wears a keychain, chunky knit cardigan 9very A/W 2011) and shirt choker – a la kurnel Kentucky – for Southern reference to American, casual style.
Effortlessly mod in her hat and buttoned collar, this model of style chose an animal print shirt and black wedges, tights and shorts for easy-breazy brilliant dressing. The red lips added the finishing touch.
Wearing his own customised garments, this young man styled himself head to toe in studs, from boots to shades, to bracelets and the lining of his lepelles. Needless to say, these silver punctuations added something to his ensemble, leaving a little rock and roll to his laid back, monochrome getup.
This pair chose layering to express their style, keeping plaid (well on-trend for the season) as their main statement-maker. Leather featured in the form of a waistcoat (left) and dog-eared cap (right), as well as on the feet of both girls. Sheer elements were added to legs via hosery for texture and both girls rocked up mod-like by buttoning up to the collar. The clash of prints (right) worked well in bringing thrown-together eclecticism.
With the chic flooding the crowds at LFW, this young punk stood out among the many with her beetle-crushers, stud and badge-d jacket and colourful top and hair. The little devil pulled some amazing trousers too, which were sheer to show colourful knee highs on legs and featured a beautiful bird and tree pattern. Pretty in punk.
Another easily spotted stylista, this well groomed guy beautified himself in chain mail hood, velvet dress and a cape, completed by an oversized bow and red lips. The accessories and hood added a definate old-worldy feel and being that this ensemble stood about six feet tall, drama was definately acheived. Mad but FAB.
Here, stylist and writer Lola Chatterton works an almost asian-pop punk look in beetle-crushers and check print, pipped by her pink, dipdyed locks. A schoolgirl feel exudes from her little white socks and checked dress, which features silver collar tips to match her rings and cuff bracelet. Love the Chanel shades too.
One of the most interesting and chic looks we spotted came from this young woman, who luxuriously dressed in a fur snood, suede block heels, scarlet, asymetric hemlined dress and men’s hat. Silver cuffs adorned her long sleeves and completed her top to bottom layered look with a warrior like attitude. FABulously fierce.
