If you are yet to hear about the new rising talent of UK music, Josh Osho, where have you been? We first heard about this young Brixtonian of Nigerian descent back in June with his debut single “Redemption Day” featuring Ghostface Killah and were so wowed by his folksy bluesy R’n’B sound, we just had to feature him in our Autumn issue with an exclusive photo shoot and interview.

The 20-year-old with a chequered past of drug dealing and email scams cleaned up his act in late adolescence to nurture his musical talent and got his start in music at the age of 18, via an online new talent competition ‘Talent Lives’ wich he won. After a year spent working with various songwriting teams, Josh was brought to the attention of Island Records’ Darcus Beese and was signed to to the label in early 2011.

Here’s the latest video release from Josh – an acoustic cover of Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks.”

Josh’s debut album, L.I.F.E,executive produced by RZA from Wu Tang Clan, is scheduled for release in 2012.
