Isha Sesay MyafricanstarsIsha Sesay will host this year’s edition of the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards 2013.

This was made known in a press release announcing the roll call of nominees for the prestigious awards which celebrates  pen-pushers, from Anglo, Franco and Lusophone Africa.

Isha is the anchor of CNN International’s ‘NewsCenter.’

The English journalist of Sierra-Leonean descent began her career as an unpaid research with the BBC in 1998, later becoming a full employee.

She worked as newsreader for Sky Sports News and ITN, before joining CNN in 2005.


The velvety-voiced journalist  will host the Award Ceremony and Gala Evening in Cape Town, South Africa, on Saturday 12 October.
