The protests, to get more action from the government over the abduction of over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls from their school premises in Chibok, Borno State, have intensified and drawn out some of Nigeria’s biggest celebrities. As the #BringBackOurGirls movement takes over social media, Nigerians are taking over the streets.
This morning, Monday 5th of May 2014, a number of people took their protests right to the doorstep of the Governor of Lagos state, Governor Raji Fashola. The protest march was from Allen Roundabout in Ikeja to the Lagos State House.
Spotted in the march are Banky W, Waje, Tiwa Savage, Lami Phillips, Omoni Oboli, Yemi Alade, Ayodeji Rotinwa and many more celebrities who went out to also lend a voice.
