21 contestants, keenly contested pageant show,  last woman standing is twenty- three-year-old Anyaoha Ezinne Akudo.

In one sentence, that summarizes  how the 38th Annual Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant/Charity Ball went at  Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Seated in the crowd were ex-Super Eagles player, Jay Jay Okocha, ex-Miss Nigeria, Helen Prest Ajayi, Dakore Egbusan Akande and her husband and Betty Irabor to mention a few.

The first Miss Nigeria ever, Grace Oyelude crowned the new Queen, who went home with a N3 million cash prize, a brand new car(Corolla), accommodation for a year, a trip to California sponsored by MUD Cosmetics, and free trips to any part of the country by Aero Contractors.


Commenting on her victory, Akudo, who is a graduate of Law from the Abia State University, said: “I am so excited to have won. There were many other pretty girls who contested but I won. I want to thank God for this victory.”

Akuso also clinched the award for Miss Photogenic
