After much to-ing and fro-ing on the part of Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage due to the sensitivity of the timing of her video release for “Ife Wa Gbona” featuring Leo Wonder, the video finally is back up.
The video for the song directed by Bolaji Kekere-Ekun of 37th State tagged “a creative blend of the African culture, humor and romance” was released in the early hours of Tuesday 9 October before being pulled down due to the sensitivity around the disheartening ALUU 4 killings.
However, earlier today came another release from iROKO announcing the video was back online as thousands of viewers had already see it and the company felt it was necessary to allow the video to remain in public, also offering their deep condolence for the loss and hope that the video will lift the spirit of the nation.
In Tiwa’s own words “…you know the reason why I wanted to delay my new video but God knows best”.
Shot in Epe, the outskirts of Lagos, the collaboration between 323 Entertainment in and Mavin Records, the video which portrays a love story with Tiwa belting out “…I’m ready to love my boo like there’s no tomorrow…” is already proving a hit on cyber-space.
