The queen of Mozambican hip hop and one of Africa’s best female rappers Dama do Bling is back with a brand new video “Bad Girl”.

Born born Ivannea Jose in Maputo, Mozambique, Dama do Bling grew up imitating and performing tracks of stars like Da Brat and Queen Latifah, despite having a degree in law, Dama do Bling chose for a career in music industry, and we are so glad she did.

In 2005, she featured on two tracks on Lizha James’ album through Bang Entertainment. She released her debut single called ‘Haterz’ in 2006, followed by debut album Dama do Bling released in 2007.

She won awards in two categories of the Channel O Music Video Awards: ‘Best Female Video’ and ‘Best Video of Southern Africa’, won a prize for Best Music Radio 99Fm, with the song ‘Chamades Para A Blin’, launched her first book ‘O Diário de uma Irreverente’ in 2008, portraying her own life as an artist.

Dama do Bling got nominated for the MTV Music Video Awards in the category  ‘Best Female Video’ in Nigeria.  She produced the song ‘Champion’ with Swiss producer Pushking Noize, and recently featured on the track ‘Turn me On’ of producer LayLow.
