Kenyan-born actress Lupita Nyong’o has snagged yet another movie role. After being named People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Person two days ago (Read it up here) the Oscar-winning 12 Years A Slave actress has been dominating the news.
There’s one more reason to celebrate the actress as she will be joining other ace actors Scarlett Johanssoon and Idris Elba in a new big screen version of The Jungle Book. Scarlett Johansson is set to play the python Kaa, Lupita Nyong’o will play Rakcha, the she-wolf who takes in orphan Mowgli and Idris Elba will play the man-eating tiger Shere Khan.
The Jungle Book is also already reportedly set for October 29, 2015. The new CGI and live-action version of the famed Rudyard Kipling book will be directed by Jon Favreau and made by Disney – which released its original, and now famous, cartoon version in 1967.
We are pretty excited about this development and cannot wait for more information to be made available!
