If you couldn’t get enough of Elle US May issue shoot images of Rihanna we shared with you here, well you’re in the luck. It seems Elle US has got it covered with the short movie of the shoot which shows the Bajan singer strutting her stuff in sexy lingerie.
Set in the Havana of 1956, the film begins with a voice over of daring statments in Spanish such as ‘Taking risks, it’s like the devil in the dark waiting to change you.’ Cuban beats kick in as we see RiRi getting a ride into town and walking into a church, suitcase in hand at which point the colour fades to black and white.
The film then cuts to the interior of a house where the sexy singer is seen in a revealing crochet skirt and cropped top. Taking the top off, left in her bra and skirt she dances by the window to the beat of the music a dancer is playing outside before we see her back inside, and relatively more clad back in her crop top, taking a phone call.
The next few scenes see Rihanna at a truck yard, after a fight with the dancer spotted earlier on the street (Now what does Rihanna having a fight with a male companion inside a car remind us of?) back in church – this time sporting only lingerie – and once again back in her apartment, ending on the streets where she is now in a low cut black number – reminiscent of her revealing Grammy’s dress co-designed by the singer and Armani, only shorter – dancing with a male dancer.
In her interview with Elle, speaking of the furore her recent collaboration with ex Chris Brown who beat her up in his car days ahead of the 2009 Grammy Awards at which she was set to perform, Rihanna said, “The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently. It’s very hard for me to accept, but I get it. People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that’s all right. Because tomorrow I’m still going to be the same person. I’m still going to do what I want to do.”
Enough of what she said though, we’ll leave you to enjoy how she looked:
