If the three sketches released by Emporio Armani are anything to go by, Rihanna who is following in the footsteps of fellow singer Kanye West into fashion, is going slouchy and sporty with her second capsule collection for the designer.
The 24-year-old’s second foray into fashion features biker jackets, boiler suits and slouchy tees as well as bucket bags in tan and white. One image depicts the denim boiler suit, which appears as though it features an attached charm bracelet at the waist while another sketch shows an edgy biker jacket with roll up denim shorts with tartan lining paired with a slouchy tee which sports a bird print.
The third sketch features skinny jeans paired with a loose t-shirt sporting a colourful print down the front.
Aside the bags emblazoned with the collection’s emblem – The Emporio Armani logo incorporating Rhianna’s initial R, the shoes look pretty slick too – with peep toe designs featuring bows tied at the ankles and lace up boots.
Like her debut collection for the label, the second collection to be released later this year will also feature underwear including tank and shorts sets and glittery push-up bras.
This second collection for Emporio Armani may be the star’s last collaboration as in the past she has indicated a wish to pursue her solo fashion projects. In a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest back in March, the singer said, “After that [the release of this second collection] I’m really pursuing a fashion line of my own. I want to design. This is also a road that I want to earn. So I’m working with designers. Designers that I respect and companies that I respect.”
As huge Riri fans here at FAB, we look forward to this collection and Rihanna’s full foray into fashion.
