We love red carpet events, especially when all the guests are in monochrome and the likes of Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah and Pixie Lott are on it.
The Brit Awards 2014 Nominations have been announced, this was done at the launch party held on Thursday 9 January 2014 at ITV Studios in London, England. The event saw quite a number of our favourite celebrities in attendance and we especially had our eye on the red carpet style. Check out our picks of FAB, So-So and Drab looks of the evening.
English Presenter and actor, Joe Swash chose a rather safe look for the evening and even though it was just a launch party we would have loved to see his step out of the male safe zone with a pop of colour or bold prints. He gets a “so-so” vote!
The Irish TV presenter wore an uber-chic look consisting of a black strapless jumpsuit with a satin neckline styled with a white blazer, both of which are from The Kooples’ Fall 2013 collection. A Jennifer Behr spiked headband, black pumps and a Kate Spade New York box clutch accessorized her look. She definitely gets a FAB vote because we love her box clutch!
The English standup comedian and actor also stuck with the monochrome theme that seemed to dominate the night but he kept things interesting with his embellished jacket and for that he gets a FAB vote for his outfit choice.
To be fair we already love Sam Smith, singer songwriter, but he also did justice to his red carpet look of the night and for that he gets a FAB vote. We especially love the way he threw off the monochrome effect with his coat.
Chloe is known for her quirky and tomboyish style but this look is just not doing it for me. Too many elements come in with the buckles, zip and high neck. This look gets a “so-so” vote.
The singer was wearing a Christian Dior Fall 2013 strapless dress featuring a tweed print bodice and a rise-and-fall black mini skirt, which she styled with Dior pumps. This look is uber cute and not over done so it gets a FAB vote!
We’re blown away by the Jimmy Choo’s Black Delta Suede Lattice Knee-High Boots that she has on and she pairs it off with a LBD which is the appropriate way. Her look gets a FAB!
It is definitely refreshing to see Ellie Goulding covered up in this black sheer dress by Christopher Kane styled with Emporio Armani shoes. With her clean face and glossed lips, and even though we love the dress, it feels like there is something missing. The look gets a “so-so” vote.
This has to be our fav look of the night. The embroidery and detailing of Jasmine Bogaerde’s outfit is just so FAB! Plus her face gives off just the right balance with her makeup.
The rapper was all smiles on the Red carpet at the Brit Awards nomination and that already gives him a win. His Emporio Armani print suit gets his a FAB vote but his shoes drag him down to a “so-so” vote. We would have loved to see Brogues instead.
On the other hand here, Jake Bugg looks like he was dragged on to the red carpet. The brooding look doesn’t help and neither does his outfit. He gets our first Drab vote.
Formal meets Casual in Nick’s look for the night. We did not think we would see men embracing the print on print trend this early in the year so Nick’s bold fashion step gets him a FAB!
We can understand what DJ and British artist Sahid Khan was going for, and yes we spot and love that gold skull ring. He gets a “so-so” on our fabness scale.
