FAB Fashion Flashback: 10 Vintage Magazine Covers Done With Ethnic Models

Today is Friday and we are having a Fashion Flashback day at FAB today. Everyone has a touch of “old school look” in their outfit – you wouldn’t believe the outcomes. The month of February is also Black History Month, in a bid to extend both (Fashion Flashback & Black History Month) to our readers too and what better way to do that than bringing you our favourite 10 Vintage magazine covers done with ethnic models.

This is going way back into the 80’s and the 90’s. Imagine the fanfare and attention putting black models on the cover of top magazines would have caused. We are talking Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek, Tyra Banks and more. We are talking Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and more – now you get the idea.

What are your thoughts? It’s hard to imagine these are the same people we see these days only so much older. Oprah Winfrey’s cover is just a blow to the head – quite different from how she is now.
