FAB Exclusive: Nkwo at Tribes of Africa by iROCK

If anyone can do Afro bohemian in style, it has got to be the London-based designer of Nigerian descent Nkwo. Polka dots, swirl prints, feather detailing were the order of the day at iROCK Tribes of Africa on Saturday 26 May. In feminine peplums and pencil skirts injected with Nkwo’s signature boho spirit, Afrobohemian chic blended with more grown up sophistication.

Beaded feather headpieces were equally intricate in design and detail – could it be that we are likely to see more head pieces from the designer in the near future? Wearable with a bohemian, breezy touch, Nkwo’s designs are sure to make the perfect capsule collection for summer.

If Afrikans did not believe that we are the aboriginals of the earth then through these fashion designers we can truly see the aboriginal uniqueness in their designs…
