This highly acclaimed exhibition presents a selection of black & white and colour prints taken by Vivian Maier, a Chicago-based nanny who spent her spare time wondering the streets with her Rolleiflex.
The exhibition includes spontaneous street scenes, streetr portraiture and acstract compositions reminiscent of some of the greatest known photographers. Through her distinctive style of candid street photography, Maier incidentally recorded some of the most interesting marvels and peculiarities of urban America in the second half of the last century.
The exhibition has been brought to UK audiences by the inaugural London Street Photography Festival.
