As an aspiring model this is a fantastic opportunity for Dwain to gain valuable experience within the industry. Extremely grateful and excited to be one of eight out of 500 plus entries, having only begun his modelling career earlier in 2011, Dwain is proud to have been selected for the TMC finals. He was nominated for a BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Award in the category of Best Male Model, which he subsequently won Saturday 22nd December 2011. After successfully gaining a place on the Dreamboys 2012 calendar (from a short-list of over 10,000 models) and having graced catwalks at Africa Fashion Week and London Fashion Week for various designers, Dwain also came in 3rd place in 2011’s Battle of the Runway (top male model). With such drive and passion, Dwain is a sure one to watch as a contender who wont stop until he reaches the top.

Cynthia Chisom Umezulike grew up firstly pursuing a career in law, obtaining her first degree (LLB ) in Law. She was called to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the FRN at the tender age of 21 and proceeded to obtain a Masters Degree in Law from the University of London Queen Mary and is currently enrolled for an Mphil/PHD. After been selected as a finalist at the prestigious Top Model of Colour competition, Cynthia became extremely active in the London modeling scene, booking shows at the London Fashion Week, going for castings for giant brands such as Swarovski and Vauxhall, shooting with amazing and dynamic photographers and booking places to walk the runway for luxury brand Jasper Garvida and Rhianon Jones Bolshie.

She is greatly inspired by the life and achievements of Erin O’Conner and Chanel Iman. She says “they are both uniquely dissimilar but their lives represent the ever encompassing aspirations of young girls all over the globe.” Cynthia love’s fashion because it gives her a window to be herself, play with colours, fabrics, styles and androgyny. She can assume any persona she desires and feel comfortable. Loving the buildup of the runway, the bright lights, the photographers at the end of the aisle clicking away, Cynthia has model running through her veins. Desribing her look as very versatile and different, dressing very regal, girly, with a dash of glamour and sophistication, Cynthia aspires to not only become a top model but a role model to the younger generation through her charitable and philanthropic contributions to the lives of young children in Sao Tome en Principe and Nigeria. Cynthia knows it may be long ride to becoming the next Top Model of Colour UK but her determination, passion and persistence give Cynthia the power to see her dreams materialise.
