www.sanyubabies.com. MOC 2011 will be taking place on the 27th of NOVEMBER at the Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush. The show will consist of 8 African inspired UK Musicians and Designers. Not only does the show aim to raise money for Uganda’s oldest orphanage for babies but also aims to promote and support the participant’s creativity by providing them with a platform to showcase their unique talents.
Sanyu Babies Home is the oldest babies home in Uganda, founded by a missionary sister in 1929. The home cares for orphaned, abandoned and destitute children from across Uganda. The home accommodates 50 babies at a time and is looking to expand to accommodate more babies. This is due to the increasing rate at which children are being abandoned in Uganda.
Designers will be given an opportunity to showcase their unique collections modelled by professional models to live music of a popular musician. The designers will team with the artist they believe best represents their collection. To guarantee a high profile event, African celebrities from Film, TV and Sports and various other industries will be invited to attend the event.
Host that will present on the night and gracing the Music on the Catwalk stage along with other talented musicians and designers will be the extremely talented Brymo and the beautiful Nnena Agba of Americas Next Top Model (Cycle 6).
Also joining Brymo and Nnena on the MOC stage is Tina Labondi. Labondi is one of the many designers that will be showcasing their wonderful collections on the 27th on Nov. As a Congolese born designer she describes her creations as “Elegance with Timeless style”. Labondi has received a lot of Press interest including having a feature in OK magazine as well as Black and Beauty Magazine.
Not doubt this will be a FAB event which is not to be missed.
