It’s safe to say that Bruno Mars’ Super Bowl half time performance was epic, and that anyone that ever doubted him, can now take several seats.
When it was initially announced he would be taking center stage at the Super Bowl, not everyone was happy, since he is such a new performer and the Super Bowl is usually reserved for the legends. However Bruno Mars showed everyone that its about talent, and not just how long you have been at it.
Dressed in a gold jacket, skinny tie and signature 50s hair, Bruno opened up the show with his own rendition of billionaire and a choir full of children singing the chorus. Then in true rock star fashion, he took to the stage and rocked out on the drumset , that had his late mothers name ‘Bernadette’ written across a banner on a large red heart, it was too sweet.
After he performed “Billionaire” Bruno Mars and his band went on to perform his #1 hit and favourite of ours “Locked Out Of Heaven,” followed by “Treasure,” and “Runaway Baby,” where Bruno showed us some of his dancing skills as he gave us a mean James Brown shuffle.
Not long after Bruno Mars was joined by the amazing Red Hot Chili Peppers who performed their 1991 classic “Give it away”.
To end the show, there was a beautiful tribute to the men and women serving the country, as he sang “Just The Way You Are”.
