Last week we brought you the speculations of Rihanna doing her third cover for Vogue US (Read here)- with this editorial all speculations have been confirmed.
To be honest we are not all that thrilled with the cover or editorial because we know (and you know) that Rihanna could have been made more glamorous or edgier. Most of Rihanna’s cover drip sex appeal so it is understandable that Vogue wanted to shy away from that but this is just so un-Rihanna. That being said, we love Rihanna any way that we can get her.
Rihanna graces the cover of Vogue US March 2014 issue and stars in a photo spread shot by David Sims. The singer is described by the American magazine as being the new muse of the fashion industry. With her line for the British retailer River Island presented last year and launching trends after trends, Rihanna is for sure one of the most followed stars when it comes to fashion inspiration. Even though she declared for the magazine that she never wanted to be famous she just wanted her music to be listened to.
For the fashion spread entitled ‘Stylin’ With RiRi’ was styled by Tonne Goodman with pieces from the latest spring/summer 2014 collections like the sequined top from Saint Laurent , Louis Vuitton , the fringe long dress from Calvin Klein Collection , metallic short dress Versace or Miu Miu’s embellished silk dress.
