Summer may be a long way away but Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede brings spring on to the news stands with her glam Elle Germany February 2014 cover clad in orange.

Model, actress, designer and maternal healthcare advocate who has to date been featured on multiple American and international magazine covers and has appeared in runway shows and major print campaigns for top designers around the world, was named by FORBES as one of the top 15 highest earning models.

Kebede, who made her film debut with the title role of the National Geographic Film Desert Flower also starred in the film 419, a thriller set in Nigeria directed by Eric Bartonio’s 419, a thriller set in Nigeria.

In addition to her philanthropic work through the Liya Kebede, Kebede began a clothing line, lemlem (meaning “to bloom” or “to flourish” in Amharic) in 2007. lemlem products are handmade in Ethiopia by traditional weavers.
