Launching its first ever cream eye shadow, Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana has tapped actress Scarlett Johansson as the face of their latest makeup campaign for the brands new “Perfect Mono” eyeshadow.
The blonde starlet, who recently revealed she does not like the media nickname ScarJo, wears a polka dot dress like a “modern day Marilyn Monroe” as the label describes on its website. Earlier in the year Dolce & Gabbana also tapped Scarlett Johansson, as well as fellow actor Matthew McConaughey for their fragrance “The One” campaign.
Speaking on their choice of Scarlett Johansson for the campaign, the brand states “Against a black background, no one else but her: Scarlett. Sensational, with expressive, playful eyes. Dressed in a polka-dot dress, she is a timeless, modern Marilyn Monroe. All facets of the Dolce&Gabbana women are embodied by Scarlett Johansson in the depth of her eyes and the smokiness of her expression. The eyes are the mirror of one’s soul and they are the true protagonists of these images”
