Endless snagging of brand endorsements



Nigerian Bank Of Industry Ambassador– On the 14th may, 2013 D’banj took to twitter to announce his new ambassadorship to the Bank of Industry. He was spotted with Evelyn Oputu, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Bank of Industry.


GLO Ambassador – Nigeria’s giant telecommunication company, Globacom. Dbanj returned as the Ambassador to the brand following his 2008 & 2009 endorsement. He was unveiled as the brand ambassador in December 2013 at the iconic Mike Adenuga Towers, Lagos. He was welcomed by fellow Glo Ambassadors-Chioma Akpotha, Ini Edo, Naeto C and Funke Akindele.


ONE Ambassador– African Union has declared 2014 the year of Agriculture and D’banj was chosen alongside music producer Cobhams Asuquo as ambassadors by ONE organization to champion the movement in Africa. Congrats to them.




D’banj was in attendance for the Mo Abudu’s Ebony Life TV tribute concert for Nelson Mandela on 18th December 2013 at The Oceanview Restaurant, Victoria Island, Lagos.


He also performed at the finale of the Felabration festival, October 20, 2013 at New Afrika Shrine.

Album release


D’Kings Men is acompilation album by recording artists of Nigerian record label DB Records, released on June 24, 2013 by the label and Sony Music. D’banj started working on the album after splitting with his long time business partner, Don Jazzy. The album produced eleven singles: ‘Oliver Twist’, ‘Sister Caro’, ‘Oyato’, ‘Bachelor’ ‘Top Of The World’ ‘Cashflow’, ‘Dont Tell Me Nonsense’, ‘For Example’, ‘Finally’, ‘Why You Love Me’ and ‘Obimo’.

Top Of The World (2013)

“Top of the World” serves as the fifth single from the album, D’Kings Men in 2013, a collaboration between members of D’banj’s label DB Records. It is the first single to be released through Sony Music’s RCA Africa label and DB Records Nigeria. The song was the official Super Sport anthem for the 2013 African Nations Cup. It peaked at number 10 on Pulse’s Music Video Charts Nigeria
