Despite claiming that she doesn’t want to be a bad role model, Nicki Minaj has refused to tone down her sexy image.

The ‘Starships’ singer was recently forced to apologise for her wardrobe malfunction last year, when her boob popped out on live TV. However, Nicki says that she won’t be toning down her image despite having a legion of young children following her every move.

Nicki: “I’ve always been kind of racy. Don’t expect that to change,”

Stars such as Madonna, Beyonce and Rihanna use their sexuality as a big part of their image, and two of them are mothers, so why is it such a big deal that Nicki does it too? Does it have something to do with the fact that she’s a rapper? Some of Nicki lyrics are pretty graphic, but then again Rihanna isn’t exactly the queen of decorum. In an interview Nicki stated that she does infact love children and doesn’t want them to copy her:

“I love children and I respect children so much….I’m big on them remaining, you know, kids. I don’t want them to go around cursing and acting crazy.”

Speaking about the success of her latest album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, Nicki added:

“I didn’t expect the kids to gravitate to me like that. I’m finding my own niche with them.”

I can’t help thinking about all the male rappers that use much worse language than Nicki and still get away with it, is it only women that are judges as bad role models or does it apply to men too, if it does, when is judgement day for Kanye?

Funny read. Especially Nickis response. However, I definitely will be keeping my children away from anything Minajish even though I love her.
