The Lagos Fashion Week is an annual fashion event sponsored by Guaranty Trust Bank that aims to provide a platform for Nigerian and African designers to showcase their collections and grow in the fashion industry. The event brings together buyers, consumers and the media to view recent collections of the designers.
This year’s Lagos Fashion Design work started on the 29th of October and would end on the 1st November 2014. It has been beautiful from the very beginning and we are glad to bring you highlights from the first two days of the Lagos Fashion Design Week.
The designers who wowed and did not fail to deliver on the first day are April by Kunbi, Soboye and Sisiano. The other designers who showcased on same day are Teola 1926, Pablo, MIMI, Phunk Afrique, Otumemine Couture, Pearl and Weiz Dhurm Franklyn.
APRIL BY KUNBI

MAKI OH
Maki Oh showed designs that were already seen. Most of her collections were from her already seen Spring/Summer 2015 look book. That didn’t kill the fun as she didn’t fail to deliver amazing outfits using the usual tie-dye approach.
Greys collection had pop of colors and it looked exceptionally great. The collection featured Shimmer materials, frills tiers etc. Check them out.
DZYN showcased very glamorous outfits at this years Lagos Fashion Design Week. Most of the outfits in her collection comprised of floor length dresses which could be worn for certain events like a red carpet or birthday dinner.
