In the spirit of the 90s now swirling upon us, Nigerian born designer Zubaida Zang released her debut swimwear collection in preparation for the scented, sunny beaches of summer.
Entitled Wild (Girls of Summer) the swimwear line was in Zubaida’s words created for “the girl with a strong sense of adventure, and an unquenchable desire for wanderlust. Those are the girls of Summer“.
Using the nostalgic feeling of the 90s as inspiration, she created a collection filled with earthy hues, high-cuts, spaghetti straps and high waist bottoms.
Zang who is also based in Canada titled this collection with a song by American rock band Aerosmith as an influence behind the designs. “The name really just stuck with me,” She says. “ and so ‘Wild (Girls of Summer)’ is really from me finding myself…tracing my roots, and knowing the kind of woman I want to be“.
This fresh brand definitely brings it’s own perspective to beach wear!
