This is one of the worse news to hit the cricketers family as they mourn the loss of a brother. Australian Cricketer Phillip Hughes has died in a Sydney Hospital just three days to his 26th birthday. He was struck at the back of his head by a ball delivered by bowler Sean Abbott while playing cricket at the Sydney Cricket ground on Tuesday 25th November 2014.
Hughes was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital after collapsing on the pitch and had to go through an emergency surgery. He was placed in an induced coma on Tuesday and struggled with breathing problems, Hughes fought for his life from what the Doctors called Subarachnoid haemorrhage (bleeding in the brain) but He never recovered from the head injury he sustained.
Till his death, Hughes has played 26 matches and 1,500 runs for his country since his Test debut in 2009 at the age of 20. The left-handed opening batsman has been a cricketer right from when he was a youngster. Family, friends and cricket legends have gathered to mourn the loss of this cricket champion. So sad, may his soul rest in peace.
