Just two days ago someone said to me: “Will and Jada give me hope. If they ever get divorced or separated, I will stop believing in love!”. Well, looks like the seemingly perfect couple’s 13-year marriage might have hit the rocks, according to America’s In Touch Weekly.

No one saw it coming. At least certainly not last month during their  interview with Architectural Digest magazine where they discussed their new house and actress Jada Smith, 39, described the home as one that will always be ‘a spiritual endeavour’ for her and Will and also said: ‘whatever it becomes, the craftsmanship will always represent our union and the love of our family.’

Will Smith, who is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, has starred in several films, including Hitch, Robot, I Am Legend, and the Pursuit of Happyness in which his actor son, Jaden, 13, was a co-star. Will and Jada wed in 1997, two years after he ended his three year marriage with Sheree Zampino. Smith and Zampino’s marriage produced Willard Christopher Smith, also known as Trey, who is now 18 while his marriage to Jada produced two currently rising stars, actor Jaden, 13, and artist Willow, 10.

Jada, who recently landed a role in Hawthorne, a hospital drama in which she plays the newly-widowed chief nursing officer Christina, who juggles between her career and raising her teenage daughter, claimed in an interview with the August issue of Redbook magazine that in real life she turned down a chance to perform with Guns & Roses to support her children’s budding careers.

Smith has been busy filming the third part of his hit film, Men In Black.

A spokesperson for the couple was unavailable when contacted about the news.

If the news is true then all I can say is wow! I am extremely shocked and I am sure I am not alone on this. There were several people rooting for the Smith family.

Oh well, que sera sera.
