Zulai Buhari–Junaid, the first daughter of national leader of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), former Head of State and Presidential candidate, Maj-Gen Muhammad Buhari (rtd) was confirmed dead on Thursday at the Nasara Hospital, Marafa Estate in Kaduna two days after giving birth to a baby girl.
She died at 40 from sickle cell anemia and was said to have had complications after the birth of her baby at a private clinic – Chasel Hospital, Ungwar Sarki, Kaduna.
Zulai is survived by her husband, Captain Mahmud Junaid and three children – including the new born who is reported to be healthy.
