Exceptional Super Eagles and English Club (Chelsea FC) midfielder, Mikel Obi has shown that sports isn’t the only entertainment type he’s disposed to. Mikel launched his record label, Matured Money Minds (MMM) very recently and it’s presently managed by his younger brother, Patrick Obi.
Music acts like Edgar, Splash, Charass and Karen Igho’s (winner of Big Brother Africa, 2011) brother, Jason ‘Kido’ Igho, otherwise known as ‘Kido’, have been signed unto the record label.
Mikel Obi discovered his path to fame and glory at the age of 12 when he was selected (amongst others) from over 3,000 young talents to play in the Pepsi Football Academy (a team that toured different states in Nigeria in seaach of young talents that would later move unto professional platforms) and has since not looked back. Mikel’s career began to explode when he was signed with the Chelsea FC team (in spite of controversies). He is a treasured house hold name and is considered a competent football player.
