The day after Kendall Jenner’s GQ cover drops, Kylie has some major cover news of her own—she is the star of Teen Vogue‘s May issue. While Kendall revealed in her GQ interview that her modeling career will not be featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie’s Teen Vogue feature was, apparently, filmed for a “larger story line” on the show.
Kylie is nothing short of stunning for this Teen Vogue cover spread. She was photographed by Giampaolo Sgura in the desert of Palmdale, CA with her two best friends, Telana Lynum and Anastasia Karanikolaou, along with a slew of other models clad in edgy grunge looks. Styled by Brandon Maxwell, we get to see Kylie looking fierce in military-inspired outfits, including a stunning army green ball gown with a full train.
Kylie admitted that when she gets dolled up to go out, she goes all the way! She said: “A good night out is, like, two and a half hours for full makeup, curling hair, whatever. I love false lashes—individuals, strips, extensions.” However, her glammed up look is totally different from what we see on this cover!
She told Teen Vogue: “I feel like I’ve heard the worst anyone can say about me over and over every day. So it’s like my self-esteem definitely wasn’t good at a point, I guess?… But especially having the most beautiful sisters in the world…I just try to find what makes me feel good and be as confident as possible.
The full issue won’t be out until April 28, Teen Vogue shared a preview video from the shoot, which you can watch above. For more interview quotes and behind-the-scenes photos, head over to their site.
