J. Law is not going to be Mystique anymore. Sad news for people who like to watch Jennifer Lawrence kick ass in a blue body suit: The actress has suggested that X-Men: Apocalypse will be her last in the Marvel film series. J. Law told MTV News, at the premiere of her latest project Serena, that the upcoming superhero film will be her last.
“It is my last one, actually,” she said when asked about the X-Men film. Lawrence has played Raven/Mystique in 2011’s X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past, and will reprise the role for X-Men: Apocalypse.
Apocalypse will feature young versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm among others, with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult all returning as Xavier, Magneto and Beast, respectively.
So with J. Law leaving question is will the series flashbacks continue, she made such a badass Mystique it would kind of be a shame to see someone else play her, unless they bring back Carmen Electra…?
