Jada, who recently landed a role in Hawthorne, a hospital drama in which she plays the newly-widowed chief nursing officer Christina, who juggles between her career and raising her teenage daughter, today denied having an affair with her Hawthorne co-star and recent divorcee, Marc Anthony.
The 39-year-old actress issued a statement through her publicist to the public to address whispers of a real life romantic involvement with Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband who joined the TV show as her love interest last year. Although America’s In Touch Weekly magazine reported earlier today that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith had separated, Jada only commented on rumours of affair with Anthony and remained silent about reports of the separation from Smith.
‘All the rumours regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue,’ Jada’s spokesperson, Karynne Tencer, said. ‘As for [the reports of a split between] Will and Jada, I’m not commenting on their personal life,’ she continued.
Marc Anthony’s representative also denied the rumours saying: ‘We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true.’
Will Smith’s son from first marriage, Trey Smith, 18, took to twitter today to dismiss the rumours that his dad and step-mom have split. He first tweeted: ‘Will and Jada getting a DIVORCE .. NOT TRUE AT ALL !!’ and later added: ‘#Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split ! False information ..its not true RETWEET!!!’
If indeed these stories are false, then I must agree with Marc Anthony’s rep. There are families, friendships and children involved in this controversy. The false stories are unnecessary and costly!
