Armed with a voice that will rival the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown, UK pop-urban newcomer and FAB Cool Issue cover boy Loick Essien will release his new single ‘How We Roll’ feat. Tanya Lacey on 3rd July and has also been confirmed as support for The Script (as part of the iTunes festival) and US teen sensation Alexis Jordan.
Fresh from the success of his club tracks ‘Stuttering’ (featuring N-Dubz), and ‘Love Drunk’ (both huge radio hits across specialist stations 1Xtra, Kiss and Choice), having notched up a total of 2 million hits online AND performing for the likes of Next Model Agency and The British Fashion Council, Loick returns with his chart-friendly hit ‘How We Roll’ which features guest vocals from RCA’s recent signing Tanya Lacey and produced by hot new UK producer The White N3rd.
Loick says: ‘This song is about being with a girl who is there for you through thick and thin and the feelings you develop for that girl. It’s different to what I’ve done before, and musically it shows another side to me.’

Loick started his career as a child, starring in a variety of music videos including Big Brovaz ‘OK’. His talents were spotted by MTV Select presenter Richard Blackwood who was so impressed he offered him the chance to co-present the show with him.
Most recently Loick Essien has become widely regarded as one of the most explosive talents in the industry and has featured on Bashy’s underground hits ‘When The Sky Falls’ and ‘Black Boys’. He also collaborated with Chipmunk on his infamous track ‘Beast’ and has recorded and written with some of the best urban talent around from Labrinth, N-Dubz and Naughty Boy to the likes of Lashwan Daniels, James Fauntleroy and Stargate.
