Georgia May Jagger has teamed up with Disney’s Minnie Mouse on a new exhibition, coming to London Fashion Week in September. The photographic installation, supported by the British Fashion Council, will be curated by the model and include a variety of interpretations of Minnie’s style throughout the years.

“I’ve always been obsessed with everything Disney and Minnie Mouse,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “This is my third Minnie Mouse project, but the first time I’ve actually been asked by Minnie herself. Minnie has her own unique style, and she’s updated her look for each era (she has over 200 outfits in her cartoon wardrobe). I’m really excited to see what we find through the Instagram search. I’m interested to see different people’s interpretations; we’re looking for a modern take on Minnie Mouse.”

Jagger has also worked with the London designer Ashley Williams to produce a fashion line inspired by the famous mouse. “I’ve known Ashley for ages,” she explained. “I think she’s the perfect fit: she loves a polka dot like me. I think the collection is an amazing combination of Ashley’s style, Minnie Mouse and British fashion.”

The collection includes a mouse-ears hat, a black zip-up skirt, and a black patent clutch with Minnie’s image on it. “It was really funny,” added Jagger, “a lot of the collection ended up looking like pieces I owned when I was a kid; I had this little round black bag with Minnie on it and it looks like the one Ashley has made. I’m a sucker for a Disney Princess, but Minnie has always been my favorite. I even have a Minnie inspired bathroom in my house, it has red and white polka-dot wallpaper like her skirt.”

“Minnie is fun, independent and super-stylish, and it was great working with Ashley and Dazed Magazine to create a modern British interpretation of this, and provide inspiration for the exhibition.”

The Minnie Style exhibition will run from 18th to 22nd September 2015 as part of London Fashion Week. The Dazed Magazine Spring/Summer 2015 issue will be available from April 9th.
