The newest edition of Y! Magazine! has been graced with the presence of Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji who was chosen to be its cover star.
The African Movie Academy Award winner gave an exclusive interview and photo shoot for ‘The Nigerian Dream’ themed issue.
Speaking about her rise to fame from soap actress to movie star, Genevieve also posed for a variety of shots, showing exactly why she is one of Nollywood’s best loved stars.
Photograhed by Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Genevieve was FABulously styled by Maryanne Alabi and Yolanda Okereke while Ugo for Make Me and David for MUD Studios made sure her hair and make-up was nothing short of beautiful.
This issue in particular was designed to portray the aspiration of Nigerians and the actual reality the find themselves in; looking at the differences between growing up and living in the West African country.
Editor Chude Jideonwo explains that the issue juxtaposes the issues of need, want and loss as shown through pieces on the battle to survive in Nigeria, an interview with young youth members corps members who risked their lives in the Northern part of the country.
The issue also includes designer Rukky Ladoja’s feature on an obsession with shoes while style columnist Ifeanyi Dike Jr reports on the rise of new shopping complexes.
