A newly passed Ugandan law imposes lifetime prison sentences on homosexuals and hefty jail terms for gay rights activist. The Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2014 (previously called the “Kill the Gays bill” due to the originally proposed death penalty clauses) was passed by the Parliament of Uganda on 20 December 2013 with the death penalty proposal dropped in favour of life in prison. The bill was signed into law by the President of Uganda on 24 February 2014.

In Ikenna Azuike’s view the Anti gay law maybe a legitimated political decision or an opportunist strategy by the powers in existence. Ikenna doesn’t hold back his review in this trailer for a new film starring Uganda’s own President Yoweri Museveni.
