There are quite a number of talented people in Africa and the world as a whole but our interest is in how they are able to use their talent productively. Obinna Omeruo is one of such people – brother to Nigerian fashion designer Ugonna Omeruo of the House of Nwocha brand as well as being a freelance fashion stylist, he has shown that he has a hidden ace under his sleeve and that is his drawing abilities.
The construction student by day and Illustrator/Stylist by night took on one of the most celebrated awards, the 2014 Oscars and illustrated his version of the very best dressed of the night.
The artist, who has sketched for brands like House of Nwocha and Souza, took on a mini-project of his own and sketched all the stars on the 2014 Academy Awards’ best dressed list. They include Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Amy Adams, Kate Hudson, and a few others. The detailing he puts into each outfit is amazing.
