Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen and more from the Miami Heat NBA team were welcomed into the white house on Tuesday 14 January 2014 in what was a second visit for the team.
Thankfully the social media is set up such that we can live vicariously through them as they got congratulated by President Barack Obama and chatted with First Lady Michelle Obama in a bid to help spread the word about eating healthy and drinking water.
The President Of The United States was also presented with his very own POTUS Miami Heat jersey with the number “44” as well as a signed team basketball. President Obama congratulated them for showing the “heart and determination” it takes to sit atop the league. The team also received White House honors last January for its 2012 championship.
The Heat won its third NBA championship overall last year by topping the San Antonio Spurs in a championship series that went the full seven games.
