If you don’t know Drissy Parker yet, you’d better get to know him. “Yoruba boy, Ndebele blooded” in his own words, Idris ‘Drissy Parker’ Lamina is a UK based singer of Nigerian and Zimbabwean descent who released his first body of work Never on Schedule on 24 February 2012 and was nominated for this year’s Zimbabwe Achievers Awards in the Male Artist of the Year category.
Born in UK to a Nigerian father and Zimbabwean mother and raised in Zimbabwe mostly, the 23-year-old MC/songwriter names his influences as Eminem, 2Pac, Joe Budden and R.Kelly to name a few.
Now back with his latest single “Don’t Forget Me (Naija Boy)”, Drissy reps and pays tribute to his Nigerian roots.
