For her Spring/ summer 2014 collection emerging Turkish designer Zeynep Tosun has drawn her inspiration from the 1920’s, something you can clearly see when you look at the pieces within the collection.
Titled ‘Hidden’ the collection denotes concealed sexuality and merges androgynous shapes with dominant prints, transparent details and allusive femininity.
The collection completely captures the essence of the 1920’s, the class, elegance and the sexiness; the kind of outfits that could accentuate a woman’s body without revealing too much, which can be seen in the long flowing silky gowns in her collection.
There was a wide range of forms used including wide legged trousers, drop shoulder dresses, skirts with covered splits and back décolleté.
The luxe stone-washed silk and silk chiffon’s in white, grey, yellow and candy pink gave off a classic vintage feel, reminding me of a very ”The Great Gatsby” style meets 2013.
